Today's Girls...Tomorrow's Leaders (continued)

TGTL aims to fill the void of too little gender-specific or gender-sensitive programming for girls, to focus on the positive aspects of girls' experiences, and to support and enhance girl programming. Funded through the annual Women’s Leadership Breakfast/Luncheon and ongoing donor support, TGTL awards grants to qualified programs through a yearly grant.

TGTL supports girl-specific and co-educational, gender-sensitive programs that focus on advancing academic achievement, physical health, mental health, and/or leadership development of girls. TGTL awards grants to agencies that demonstrate a successful track record of measuring new knowledge, increased skills or abilities, changes in behaviors or attitudes, and/or improved conditions of girls, as they relate to the program goal(s). All programs, especially co-educational programs, should clearly demonstrate how they promote gender sensitivity and work more effectively with girls in a co-educational setting.

2007 funding decisions will be made in June 2007.
