Volunteerism
For every two Massachusetts youth with mentors there is one on the wait list1.
Caring Adult Relationships – Be involved in a child’s life!
As an intermediary for the community and the resources that enable communities to thrive, United Way of Massachusetts Bay (UWMB) is always looking to leverage our connections with the business community and connect employees who are looking to participate in our mission beyond monetary contribution with volunteer opportunities.
In addition to United Way ’s Volunteer Solutions that connects individuals with volunteer opportunities where they want to volunteer, UWMB offers Business Meets Community, an initiative aimed at working with interested companies that would like to customize a corporate volunteer opportunity for its employees, such as a corporate mentoring program. For more information, please visit www.uwmb.org/volunteer.
The benefits? Setting up volunteer opportunities for your employees demonstrates your organization’s commitment to the community, plus it offers youth the opportunity to connect with potential adult role models that so many of them lack.
